About Dr. Boro
Dr. Boro graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1983 with over 5000 class hours. He attended Logan after receiving a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Biology and Chemistry from Brandeis University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Wesleyan University.
He has trained under some amazing innovators in chiropractic (please see the home page to learn more), and specializes in very specific, low-force techniques and the application of nutrition as a method of improving a person's health naturally. He is certified as a Chiropractic Industrial Consultant with training in how to reduce risks of Workers Compensation injuries. Dr. Boro is one of 9 doctors in the five-state area with Advanced Sacral-Occipital Technique certification, and one of 125 doctors worldwide with Cranial Certification. He was appointed to the Sacro Occipital Research Society International board in 1999.
Dr. Boro uses multiple modalities, evaluating structural, chemical and mental aspects of health using manual muscle testing with other standard methods of diagnosis. When he finds muscles out of balance, he will try to find out why it is not working properly and work out a treatment plan that will best balance the muscles.
The philosophy that Dr. Boro works by includes continuing education as a major way to keep up with new scientific research. Chiropractors are required to take 24 hours of continuing education per year to keep their license. Dr. Boro exceeds this. He has enjoyed classes recently such as Cranial Fluid Dynamics, Metabolic Biotransformation and Lyme Disease: Masking as Musculoskeletal Disorders.
As a strong advocate of education, Dr. Boro is the developer of Advanced Chiropractic Techniques™, an amalgamation of all that he has learned. He has also enjoyed being an assistant teacher for SOTO, SORSI, Barral and Upledger.
Dr. Boro has enjoyed much community work in the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County area. He has been on the Board of Directors for the Annapolis Holistic Health Center (1986-1995), The Entrepreneurs Exchange (1988-1995), and the Maryland Chapter of United Cerebral Palsy (1987-1989). He is professionally affiliated with Maryland Chiropractic Association, Maryland Association of Innovative Health Practitioners, National Wildlife Federation and the New York Academy of Sciences. He is licensed to practice in Maryland and Colorado.
